BSL Environmental Science Glossary - Climate Action definition

Description: Climate action means taking action to reduce the impact of climate change. The actions we take won't improve the climate - we will have to live with the implications - but if we take action we can lessen the effect. Historically, greenhouse gases have been at critical levels and we will need to continue to manage these so that they don't get worse and have an adverse effect on us. Climate action includes reducing emissions and adapting to environmental conditions. We also need to invest financially in order to enable us to manage necessary adjustments.
