BSL Environmental Science Glossary - Sea definition

Description: The Sea is a large body of saltwater (not fresh water). Seas are usually partially enclosed by land and there are many of them around the world. The surface of the sea and oceans looks flat on the horizon and we see the tides come in and out. Because the sea is so big, a huge variety of animals and plants are able to live there.
