Description: Storage underground involves the storage of gases, liquids (water) or minerals below the surface of the ground. This can happen naturally as water runs along cracks in the rock and collects in caves, or it can be the result of man-made structures, where gases like CO₂ and others are pumped underground and stored in caverns and tanks.
