A clear pathway to explore my knowledge further about this aspect of assistive technology.
All the information was very well researched and presented clearly and logically.
To learn about tools I might not have known about.
Exploring the available AI options.
Raising my awareness to what is available at present.
Lots of examples of ways to use AI to support learners.
Overview of current AI tools available.
The best part of the webinar was the presentation slides, which were very interesting and informative. However, my internet connection was weak and unstable throughout the session. I tried to follow using the captions and the international sign language interpreter, but the poor connection made it challenging.
Current, useful information
Some recommendations of AI tools to support students.
Lots of useful Information - practical. And links for support as a follow up.
The presenter was extremely knowledgeable
To see what percentages of people using different of AI tools
A few more links to help people understand what d/Deaf means for various people and how it impacts their learning. More time for questions - maybe an optional extension of 15 minutes after an hour's webinar for anyone with time and questions to attend. If this can also be recorded, that would help everyone.
Even more demos, where possible. But there was a good amount already.
A bit more focus on how the tools help Deaf and hard of hearing people. The tools helped all users but, on the whole, I didn't feel they were particularly geared towards Deaf or hard of hearing (other than the section about sign language generation apps)
Examples of AI being used
was very good so nothing
I would have liked the webinar to include more content on AI for education, specifically focused on deaf and hard of hearing learners. I am very interested in future sessions that go deeper into how AI can support deaf education. In Africa, deaf students need more demonstrations of how AI tools can be used with sign language and other accessible technologies to support learning.
Helen did an excellent job and was very clear in her presentation. A deaf student communicating how AI has helped them would be a nice end to the presentation.
I would appreciate more 'lists' of AI tools and how they may help our students with some explicit examples and also demonstrations on how to use them.
Nothing or N/A (5)
How low vision students (those who screen magnify or have to make contrast adjustments) can be supported through built-in assistive features on laptops and phones.
Further, in-depth CPD/webinars related more specifically to each AI tool and its relevance/opportunities for deaf CYP
Using sign language with AI and other educational technologies.
