Depends on caseload
I have a new referral to use this with.
Chunk down the SFS document to make it smaller for families
Yes, I will be looking more closely at Success from the Start and discussing with multi disciplinary colleagues, how we can use it collaboratively with families.
I have not used this yet, but will look at the resource in more depth now.
Definitely the success from the start looks incredibly easy to follow its broken down into achievable targets which will really help support children and their families.
This has facilitated a TEAM discussion around EY assessment and monitoring
I will need to set aside more time to look at this resource.
Start to use the document as a support/tracking tool.
Use the start from success resource.(9)
May start using the materials, had given up using the original version as it was too much for families
I will further my knowledge of the resource as I will be moving into peripatetic services next session.
Look more closely at You Can section
I will look to use Success from the Start with any new NBHS referrals and may consider swapping one pupil onto it in the near future.
Look to use/ adapt the Success from the start tick sheets for our service as a standard recording tool.
Yes I will be editing and making the SFS our own and using it with our families asap.
Update the forms I use for Monitoring Protocol for my EYs pupils.
Look at the materials with a better understanding and discuss with colleagues
Be able to use this as a toolkit when supporting families.
This was a very informative introduction to this resource.
No (2), I already use the material and will continue to do so.
As I don't currently support any babies, I will familiarise myself with this procedure for new timetable.
I will begin to explore the use of SFS to replace EYP.
Swap from using early Monitoring Protocol to use Success from the Start. As a Team we will be looking at how to implement and make best use of Success from the Start
Yes I am now aware of this resource and I will direct other practioners to it.
Not really but it was reassuring that I am using the pack as intended.
Move towards using the Success from the Start materials in place of the Monitoring Protocols.
The captions and text transcript for accessibility.
Useful.
Seeing how it was used with a pupil by a TOD
Practical examples of use.
Good to hear to real life experience.
Practical application.
The combination of factual input re the document form Emma and real life use of the resource by Jennifer.
The information around the resource.
It was interactive and the explanations were great.
The explanations as to why and how the document changed and the shared experience of a TOD.
Use of annotation and SfS information
Clear information.
I liked that it was interactive.
The experience of QToD using it in the field and how it can be adapted for each family.
Update on the new document, replacing the Deaf monitoring protocol.
Don't know, it was quite light in content.
Well organised and managed effectively.
How it is being used in practice.
Being able to see the changes that have been made and the rational behind these changes.
Clear information.
Having the document explained and hearing first hand experience of using it.
Gave the time to look at a new resource with the logic explained behind it.
Sharing of updates.
Jennifer sharing how she has been using the SFS with her families.
Finding out the document had been updated as it was cumbersome before.
Hearing a practioner talk about how they had used the resource with families
Information about the 5 Steps
Having input from ToD and examples of how to implement this resource.
Having an overview of the material.
The topic.
Personal reflections from Jennifer.
Seeing how others use it.
Input by a ToD already using the SftS.
I enjoyed the second part when the resource was spoken about and parts displayed on the screen. Using the 11 stages independently and not overloading parents/ staff with a big document. It was good to hear form a practioner who has used the tool.
Hearing how the pack in being used by a peri ToD.
Clear explanation and description of the resource.
Clear information.
More time and more examples of use by a TOD across a range of ages.
Nothing (9) really good!
I personally didn't think anything could be better. Online can be hard and it can limit discussion however there was breaks for questions and point we could contribute it was very well thought out.
As we only had an hour, move more quickly to how the SfS should be used and less on the Monitoring Protocol.
If longer we could have looked in more depth at the different sections. E.g. watched a video of a child and discussed where he/she was and looked at next steps etc.
More detail, it was too general, not really enough information about the new materials.
Longer and more in depth. I would like to know how often to use it.
Keeping to the timings - I had to miss the end as i had another meeting.
Less talk about what it was before. More specifics on the content of the new document. Less anecdotal evidence from a students thesis.
I felt perhaps too much time was spent on the Monitoring Protocol.
Presenters should speak more slowly and clearly.
Possibly a bit more time allocated to Q and A or looking deeper at different secitons of SSftS but timing was about right so hard to fit more in.
A shorter introduction and focus more on the tool.

Other:
Previous webinar sign posted to training;
Online search looking for SFS info.
Use of accessibility tools for deaf learners
Dual sensory impairment: assessment, curriculum, especially language and communication across a range of 'abilities'/challenges.
Early Years tried and tested resources
I would keep my eyes open for anything as I found it extremely beneficial.
Strategies on how to support families of babies with microtia and atresia
Unsure
Any.
Would it be worth discussing a centralised training session for the use of Highalnd's 1+2 BSL or is that too narrow as authorities would need to have p urchased it to make training meaningful.
Empowering our mainstream colleagues on deafness and deaf education.
Pre braille for CYP with additional needs
Autism and hearing loss.
Some audiology e.g. refresher on using different types of equipment such as FM systems.
More early years.
Webinars are great way to train on a variety of topics especially when we can at another time if unable to make the actual 'live' webinar due to other work commitments.
I would be happy to have any CPD directed at early years and I would like to be informed of other training opportunities.
Early years supporting language development - practical advice/activities.
How would you rate the webinar technology? 4.3/5
All ran smoothly.
All really good.
Advance warning that the interactive element would not work on a mac. If I'd known in advance, I would have used a different machine.
Bit glitchy but could have been my WIFI.
Sorry I was unable to activate any the options to participate (possibly my device)
Worked well.
Noise in the background was very distracting.
Nice to have someone using the interactive tools on Zoom - that was a first for me
