The latest research and a chance to feedback
Presented on Wednesday, 2nd March 2022
The EPID tool will be an evidence-based assessment for use with parents when communicating with their deaf child aged 0-3. It is based on evidence (a large-scale systematic review of 61 papers spanning over 40 years of research) and on practitioners' expertise (a survey filled in by 190 UK-based professionals in deafness alongside some focus groups).
Participants learned about the findings so far and the tool's development. There was an opportunity to feedback on the findings and the development of the EPID tool.
Teachers of Deaf Children, Speech & Language Therapists, Deaf Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (DCAMHS) professionals, Cochlear Implant centre professionals working with parents in the early years.
Access Support: automatic captions (via Otter.ai) only. BSL interpreting must be arranged by attendee.
