Will you do anything differently as a result of today's training?

I don’t think so.
Look at ideas for working remotely using similar resources.
I work in Early Years and we have been phoning the parents weekly to check in with them. I was thinking this could be a way to stay in touch or introduce ourselves to children about to start in the new term.
Moving forward, look at how I can incorporate this into my practice once the authority have an agreed platform on which to do it.
No I am keen to see and hear about other topics.
Depends on future caseload.
Yes, take away some positive and useful information and being able to use the new strategies that I have learned from this course and forwarding these new strategies on to the parents for them to try.
More remote contact.
I think it has given me more confidence if we become allowed to do live video conversations with our children.
Include some strategies in TEAM meets with students.
I felt it wasn't very clear on what this webinar was about beforehand. So when I started watching it, I soon learnt it was for people who work with hearing impaired children and how to support the families through a zoom call.
More confident about interacting with children through Skype type of presentation.
Not in the immediate future but yes, once blended learning starts I will use the tips to prepare lessons.
Hopefully discuss at staff meeting.
Continue to upskill myself in the use of technology. I am not finding this easy but this presentation has highlighted the potential.
I was interested in the use of technology for remote working with very young children. Useful advice re the set up and pacing of the online lesson.
Maybe feel more confident about using the technology.

What was best about the course/event?

Interesting to see examples of practice with the videos.
Loved the videos. Really brought to life what the presenter was talking about. Having the PDF files is really helpful as well.
Very informative about a new (to me) but very relevant approach.

I liked seeing the interaction of the parents with their child and thought the timeline video showing development and progression for the child was informative. Lovely to see such enthusiasm!
It was honest and that not every session is perfect.

What, if anything, could have been improved about the course?

The pace of information.
Nothing. It did what it said.
The time? I would have preferred the webinar in the morning then my colleagues could an afternoon discussion and self-evaluate as a team.
Nothing it was well presented.

Just the clarity of sound at times.

Transition, ACE's in children, bereavement support form children, STEM outdoors.
More courses relating to my line of work to improve on my LSL skills.
Engagement of pupils with severe and complex needs and how to record learning.
More on recovery curriculum.
Assessing language of older pupils (P6 - S2).
Supporting Transitions from nursery to primary school.
Not sure but support on remote working with client group.

Any comments on the technical aspects

I lost the sound towards the end so the notes will be helpful.
Screen froze and laptop connected and disconnected to presentation throughout. It was difficult to follow at times due to sound quality.
Used the trial a few days beforehand. My son did have to help me a little but once that was done it was easy to get connected to the webinar.
No, I got on to the course with any probs.
The speaker's video picture was not very clear.
When the connection works it is great.
Sometimes the sound seemed a bit muffled.
I was able to access all parts and all flowed continuously for me.
