Will you do anything differently as a result of today's training?

Yes, I have a better understanding of what can and can't be offered during SQA exams so we can better prepare pupils in advance.
Yes - Be more proactive from the start of school term re: Examination arrangements for pupils with a visual impairment. Liaise with and contact the SQA for advice and guidance as required.
Yes, I will be able to support better in secondary school and have the confidence to talk about supports knowing that I can make recommendations along with the school or do this myself.

What was best about the course/event?

Ability to ask questions.
The opportunity to see and learn about the permitted examination arrangements for pupils with a VI. Learning of the ways examinations can be modified for individual pupils of a needs basis, whilst maintaining the integrity of the exams.
Understanding that the holistic approach is taken, rather than meeting certain criteria.
