This one-hour webinar offered practical advice and suggestions on how to support expressive and receptive language skills for children who have Cerebral Visual Impairment and Additional Support Needs.

Cerebral Visual Impairment (CVI) is the most common cause of visual impairment in the economically developed world but it probably one of the least understood. This webinar looked at the unique communication needs of children who have Additional Support Needs as well as CVI.

We discussed systems of communication and the role the environment can play to support, or indeed inhibit, communication. There was an opportunity to ask questions and take part in interactive polls.

Teachers of children with visual impairment (TVIs & QTVIs), Class teachers, Classroom Support Staff, Educational Psychologists, Third Sector staff and Speech and Language Therapists.
