Will you do anything differently as a result of today's training?

Continue to recommend APH webinars to colleagues - I always find the content and delivery of presentation to be memorable and easy to listen to.
Not sure.
Work within the duxbury programme more confidently.
It was not the subject I expected. I presumed from PDF to BRF would mostly be a discussion of the ways to translate PDFs. This was mostly a discussion about the higher functions of Duxbury for a transcriber, not something I need to know. Four members of our team attended this at my recommendation and I feel the misunderstanding over the content means it was a waste of our service's budget.
The content seemed to be at a very high level and did not go over basics or start at that level and move up.

What was best about the course/event?

Delivery - done with enthusiasm and great anecdotes. Easy to listen to and understand.
Enjoyed all aspects of the webinar.
Great information about using duxbury and the codes.
It was not useful to me. The presenter was very nice.

What, if anything, could have been improved about the course?

Can't think of anything (2)
Longer time, maybe another 15-30 mins.
The clarity of the title - it would have been helpful if it covered what the title said. It specifically said 'Lastly we will practise using the braille transcription software Duxbury braille translator'. More than half the webinar was on this and we were told we were the computer to translate PDF's into text. I really expected a more in depth exploration of this area which is highly complex.
The webinar did not answer the title how to go from BRF to braille doc.

How did you hear about this course?

What other CPD training would you like the SSC to provide?

Continue to deliver a variety of topics. The nature of our job as VI teachers changes year to year depending on caseloads. This year I would be interested in more albinism webinars but that would not have engaged me for the past 2 years.
Navigating the minefield of modification with schools, especially the swiftest ways to translate published PDF material to braille print and maths. Best technology approaches to maths GCSE for braillists: Perkins or BNT+.

Technical Feedback
