I plan to use sensory stories in a different way now.
It was good to learn new ideas about sensory items to use and how to adapt for older learners.
Yes, I will embark on further training with the aim of sharing Sensory Stories with groups of children and young people.
I will find more interesting props to use.
Reminder that the stories are a conversation - good reminder!
I will consider the structure of my sensory stories more.
I'll be better able to choose props for sensory stories.
Talk through the process of taking a story, simplifying it and adding props. Offer more examples of this process with some different stories. A prop list as a way of initiating ideas would be helpful.
Make up my own /own version of stories appropriate to topics / interests in class. Collect more multi-use sensory objects -e.g. Swanee whistle hand-warmer.
It has reassured me I am doing the right thing when I adapt stories for my complex needs pupils.
I am definitely inspired to try different media to represent different parts of the story.
Yes, use sensory stories now, thank you.
Try out this different way of storytelling.
It will make me more cautious when reading books to VI students.
More repetition and slower pace.
Use as many props as possible!
Try to find props for stories.
Read the links and add further to my knowledge, take it back to nursery and feel more empowered to tell stories to the neuro diverse children in setting.
Yes. Consider all aspects of sensory interaction and engagement and hopefully support greater engagement and inclusion.
It has re-inspired me to think of more creative ways to engage children with stories.
Consider multiple copies of a sensory resource for a group session.
I will be more considerate of the context when choosing sensory items and also how the props can be handled by the children.
Consider how I prepare and present stories to VI pupils.
The different ideas we could use.
Well presented with good advice and ideas.
That it was delivered by an experienced practitioner who shared her knowledge in a practical way with real life examples/experiences. Also the Power Point was a perfect length and being able to see the real life props used was fantastic.
How simple story telling can be so useful for learning other skills.
Clear and defined information. Presenter very knowledgeable and passionate about their work.
Not too much crammed in which gave us a chance to ask questions and consider the content.
The refocus on the benefits to children and young people.
Clear benefits of storytelling.
If you were totally new to Sensory Stories this had lots of great ideas for approaches /resources.
Thinking about different reasons for different props (surprise, rest, understanding, enjoyment) as I hadn't really considered them in this way before.
Sharing of ideas was good, as well as other participants sharing their ideas and questions.
Very interesting, useful, well presented, engaging.
Different ideas I tried out the following day and children enjoyed it.
Various ideas I took from the presenter.
Reinforcing good practise and more ideas.
Just good presenter and presentation.
Amount information and ideas.
Links to books and websites, top props and real examples.
Great practical and useful ideas which can be adapted for a range of ages and abilities. Some helpful links too.
The enthusiasm it was presented with and loads of great ideas
Reference to story structure and flow.
Learning the top 3 props/inspiration of resources
It was well presented. It was very professional and time given for questions
Perhaps a little bit longer so not as rushed at the end.
Some examples - eg photos or scripts.
I was happy with everything about the webinar. Thank you so much for organising this.

It would have been great to have seen more examples of resources used with stories but I realise that time was short.
A 'crib sheet' detailing the main points covered.
More detail - specifics. Faster pace of presentation.
Perhaps a video of a sensory story being told /experienced.
A bit more time for some other examples would be good.
Maybe a video clip of actually carrying out a sensory story with children to show how it works in action.
I wish presenters would actually present a social story for us as an example, please.
Perhaps a demonstration of a story being told in this style.
Really enjoyed it-thank you.
Very happy with content of webinar.
Possibly a further insight into the planning and delivery of a sensory story i.e. should you repeat the same story over a week or two.
