Will you do anything differently as a result of this webinar?

i look forward to reading the article on DIADS.
Will definitely share this information with colleagues.
Attend 2nd date in March.
Yes, it'll definitely make me think about the cross overs and consider what may be which.
Speak to colleagues about pupils who display signs of ASD.
I'm hoping part 2 will provide me with strategies that I can use with the pupil I work with in the class setting.

What was best about the webinar?

Thanks for having this open to other professionals such as myself really appreciate it.
The information especially the personal experiences shared were very helpful.
Females with Autism, this really interested me.
All of it! It was great to have the overview (a good refresher as I had quite a bit of prior autism training) but then how it was or wasn't applicable to deaf children.
The presenter.
It was very informative and well delivered. The slides were a great visual. Being able to type in comments in the chat to be answered was great too. Unfortunately, the webinar highlighted how poor our services are in Scotland, which I find shocking and disappointing. The provision in England and Ireland appears to be far superior in comparison. I do hope this changes in the future.

What, if anything, could have been improved about the webinar?

Nothing.
There's loads of great sources, but no full references I saw. Unless they come later. It would be great to see the full references at the end.
It would have been useful to have more information about what we can do to support our deaf learners in Scotland who present with ASD characteristics.

How did you hear about this course?

What other CPD training would you like the SSC to provide?

Teaching phonics/reading to deaf students who use a signed mode of communication.
Deafness and autism strategies/resources for teachers/TODs. Tips of what works well to support - even though autism is incredibly specific to each individual a general would be amazing.
Assessment arrangements for senior pupils, child protection and deaf pupils, technology suitable for use with deaf pupils

Technical Feedback

How would you rate the webinar technology? 5/5

Any comments on the technical aspects

We are not allowed to use Zoom on school devices. I had to use my own personal laptop, but not all staff have this ability to do so. Zoom does seem to work better than Teams for accessibility though.
