with Auditory Verbal UK
Presented on Monday, 21st March 2022
In this webinar we explored how clear speech is determined by the clarity of the signal and how listening to a speech sample can help us determine potential issues with a child's amplification. We took a closer look at the 6 Ling sounds and how to interpret the child's responses. This webinar was all about evaluating functional listening in deaf children and how we use that information to liaise with the audiology team to review the programmes on hearing technology.
Through the use of case studies and video examples, we discussed the big question: is it a speech problem or a hearing problem?
Teachers of the Deaf, Speech & Language Therapists, Audiologists and students and/or trainees are welcome to join the webinar.
Access Support: automatic captions only. BSL interpreting must be arranged by attendee.
