Will you do anything differently as a result of this webinar?

I will be looking carefully at Ling sound checks, and trying 1 ear at a time.
Yes, lots to think about. (2)
Share with colleagues who don't see the value of Ling sound checks being carried out frequently!
I will re-evaluate the way I test HA using ling sounds (when in the pupils' ears) for example by assessing one ear at a time, etc.
Yes, lots to food for thought that I want to put into practise.
I will use lots of this in my practice as I am beginning my training as a TOD.
I will use the ling sounds more in conjunction with audiograms, I will try and do ling sounds one aided/implanted ear at a time in order to notice if there's an issue with one device and I will carry the sheet we were provided with today in order to know what likely errors there may be based on a child's loss and therefore what to look out for.
Yes, will now listen to child's speech.
Yes, I've already discussed how I will change my practice and as a team we are going to trial the LMG ling sounds so that we can feed back to the audiology department any issues highlighted by using them.

What was best about the webinar?

The presenter.
So much interesting information.
Presentation speed.
Outline of sounds of speech.
Everything!
Noel is very easy to listen to and he made the content very interesting, informative and easy to understand.
Extremely well prepared and covered a great deal of information in a clear and accessible way.
I enjoyed the videos and being able to apply what I had learned to assess and evaluate the children.
It was so well paced and well explained that it was very easy to follow, even when it got into more complicated territory.
New Knowledge.
All of it.

What, if anything, could have been improved about the webinar?

It was fine.
More time to think.
Nothing! (4)
It was a great session, very well presented.
Others participation (which is not really something you can do much about!) - I found it was just the same few of us that kept responding in the chat box and also when we went into breakout rooms only a few that spoke.
I would have loved a glossary of terms... that would have really helped. I'm not a SLT and words like fricative and suprasegmentals etc I've heard before but am not familiar enough with to follow when they are used in a sentence!

How did you hear about this course?

SSC direct email: 8
Colleague: 3

What other CPD training would you like the SSC to provide?

Multisensory impairment - assessments and learning/teaching activities and approaches.
Anything which would help a TOD in training.
Perhaps the benefits of sign language/Deaf culture, as a lot of what we do with the children on our caseload is about developing their oral/aural skills but there is still an importance in sign language/Deaf culture too, especially for early communication and for a young persons Deaf identity.
Speech discrimination assessments in quiet and in noise linking it to functional use of hearing. Lindsey Allen training leave your bag of toys in the car - preferably an afternoon session.

Technical Feedback

How would you rate the webinar technology? 4.8/5

Any comments on the technical aspects

All excellent.
When we broke out into rooms it took a while for everyone's features to work, and we couldn't access the PDF shared in the chat.
Ran very smoothly.
I couldn't open the PDF so it was great that Noel went over that content after the breakout sessions.
Everything seemed to go very smoothly technologically, aside from one brief moment of us not hearing a video, which was very quickly resolved (and we've all had to run our own virtual trainings and know how tricky it can be with sound on videos!)
Ran extremely smoothly very impressive
