Much better understanding now.
I dont think so as I won't be in a position to offer GLAD but I look forward to looking at the slides again to see if I can use any of the resources but I am not sure.
Talk about feelings more with key deaf child, think about energy bank and using written communication more. Remember making a mistake can be devastating.
Have a bit more confidence in the support and advice I am giving to mainstream/hearing staff working with our children.
Yes I will be more direct and literal when communicating with a Deaf autistic child. I feel I have an improved understanding of how they may be feeling/why they behave in certain ways.
Sorry, nothing new re. approaches; ideas
Videos and examples for specific tips to help.
Interesting to hear about the development and roll out of this group for ND CAMHS YORK.
The 'what helps?' section.
Practical advice for support.
I really enjoyed the video 'Amazing things happen'.
N/A.
I think that it was an informative session however I am not left any more informed about how to introduce this group to my service. I feel that it was a very expensive CPD session for the information that was provided. I am a little disappointed as I cannot go to my service about commissioning this group based on the information I have learned. I am frustrated about this as I self funded this CPD.
I can't think of anything. I was happy with the content.
Maybe more about the specific issues that deaf children have - especially older children.
Maybe a little more focus on alternate communication approaches, particularly in the early years. Also how to develop GLAD in our own areas.

It was all perfect.
Some of the text on the slides was too tiny to read.
