Brian presented the case for changing the narrative on classroom acoustics to one that is more easily accessible to educational practitioners. He examined the interventions that are commonly associated with raising attainment - including the classroom environment. Brian discussed why a better understanding of the challenges of listening in a classroom leads to a more informed discourse around possible interventions.

Conor discussed a resource designed by his Education Authority Sensory Service team discussing options for schools to explore using captioning in the classroom using Microsoft 365, Google and Speech to Text apps.
