Will you do anything differently as a result of this webinar?

The links were useful.
I am going to use this course as a starting point for my PRD targets for the coming year. I am going to gather together resources and share them with my colleagues to ensure that we are doing the best for all of our pupils.
I would really like to use the thinking eyes and ears with my deaf children and young people. We already use speech and thought bubbles but I can now definitely up level what I do.
Yes, there are lots of ideas I will use and share with the team. The vocabulary is very useful and I will incorporate this when working with children.
Consider the impact of Social Capital and what that really looks like in inclusion.
Go and look at the resources that we have, and make sure I use them.
I'll try lots of them. I'll need to read it all again. Lots to take in.
Can support schools with resources and new ideas :)
So many resources that I will look into and I will definitely give social thinking a bigger place in the work that I do with my pupils.

What was best about the webinar?

It was well paced and interesting.
Enthusiasm of the presenter and the resources shared.
Session 2, I really like seeing resources as it helps me understand more.
Break out groups, sharing experiences and resources.
Diana Harbor is so engaging and encouraging of everyone to participate - rather than passively listen. She really knows her stuff but is not unapproachable. I felt that the webinar was useful for me; she always gives practical advice and relatable scenarios.
The level of knowledge that Di has.
The presenter was fun and interesting no chance of sleeping.
Pace, range of topics, balance of language to use and think about when using resources, knowledgeable and interesting presenter
It was delivered by someone that is clearly using all these resources currently and has such an in depth knowledge of her field. Also great to get links and pointers to so many resources to try. Di is also a very engaging presenter.

What, if anything, could have been improved about the webinar?

I think it had only one sort of research highlighted. This is often an issue in deaf education. For example, do deaf children have EF and ToM difficulties because they are deaf? It could be because of the gap between birth and when a fully accessible language(s) become available. Ie language deprivation. Work from Morgan and Woolfe have highlighted this. Stress, isolation and being bullied could be a side effect of normalisation policies. It’s good to look at several perspectives in this area. Should the ToD be so involved if a peer group can resolve and nurture the deaf child? Our hearing impaired children implies ownership.
I found the first break out room a little tricky - it happened very early in the course and I felt unprepared for it. I hadn't come across a Padlet before and wasnt sure how it worked.
I found session 1 a bit hard to take it all in. I felt it was kind of all theory in session 1 and practise in session 2 but think it would have been easier to digest if it was mixed. But I understand that may not lend itself.
Nothing (5) it was a great couple of days and one of the best courses I've been on recently.

Technical Feedback

How would you rate the webinar technology? 4.7/5

Any comments on the technical aspects

It would be good if we had been given the slides prior. Due to council fire walls I cannot use Zoom on my laptop so had to use my mobile which meant the slides were very small. If they had been sent prior I could have had these up on the laptop and followed along easier. Also it's good to know if the slides will be sent out as I was taking very detailed notes in session 1 until about half way through when we were told they would be sent out. Really appreciate that the slides will be shared though and look forward to receiving them soon. Thanks.
It worked great on line.
It all went very smoothly, break out rooms and use of padlet also worked well.
