Webinar 13: Teacher Self Care: A Necessity not a Luxury (Place2Be)

Presented on Thursday, 4th March 2021

Content

Workplace stress is a major factor in teachers leaving the profession so it is an important issue to talk about. We need to develop an awareness of personal limits, think about self-care in order to protect our mental and physical well-being as a precious resource. Teachers resilience needs to be learned, nurtured and space made to attend to it. To be resilient we often have to face our vulnerabilities and find the courage to persist.

The mounting evidence would seems to suggest that for teachers to persist in the face of challenges relationships may form a protective factor as well as having a strong sense of self-efficacy.
