Join us for this new webinar to learn 10 key takeaway messages about Cerebral Visual Impairment (CVI).

Dr Andrew Blaikie, Consultant Ophthalmologist has recorded a presentation which guided us through a basic understanding of what is CVI. This included:

• the role of the brain in vision
• prematurity and CVI
• why children with Cerebral Palsy are at much higher risk of CVI
• the impact CVI has had on the vision of adults who have acquired CVI.

This webinar consisted of a recorded presentation by Dr Blaikie, interspersed with participant discussion led by Elizabeth McCann, QTVI and VI CPD Coordinator at the Scottish Sensory Centre.

Target Audience

Educational staff supporting children with a hearing or visual impairment, including CVI, Non-teaching staff from all sectors, Habilitation Staff, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists and Health Visitors.
