Carrying out a Functional Vision Assessment (FVA) is a key competence for Teachers of Visual Impairment. While information obtained in the clinical setting is invaluable, a functional vision assessment carried out in school can provide rich information to support appropriate classroom strategies.

This face-to-face course was for those are new to the field of visual impairment or wanted a refresher on the skills needed to carry out a functional vision assessment. This course focused on how to carry out a FVA in learners who are in a mainstream setting.

There was a practical component to this course with opportunities to use a variety of testing materials.

Teachers of children with Visual Impairment, (Q)TVIs.
