Carrying out a Functional Vision Assessment (FVA) is a key competence for Teachers of Visual Impairment. While information obtained in the clinical setting is invaluable, a functional vision assessment carried out in school can provide rich information to support appropriate classroom strategies.
If you are new to the field of visual impairment or you just want a refresher on the skills needed to carry out a functional vision assessment then this face-to-face course is for you! This course will focus on how to carry out a FVA in learners who are in a mainstream setting.
Please note that there will be a practical component to this course with opportunities to use a variety of testing materials.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
