The purpose of this two hour practical session was to:

• Further improve the quality of Physical Education, Physical Activity and Sport provision for learners with vision impairment.
• Provide staff with the confidence and competence to give more learners with vision impairment a positive and inclusive experience in Physical Education, Physical Activity and Sport.
• Inspire and encourage the next generation of learners with vision impairment to lead full and active lifestyles through Physical Education, Physical Activity and Sport.
• To provide a networking opportunity to share examples of good practice and provide solutions to challenges.

Programme

• 4.00 pm – 4.10 pm Welcome, introduction and overview.
• 4.10 pm – 4.30 pm Inclusive warm up
• 4.30 pm – 4.50 pm Developing fundamental skills through run, jump and throw
• 4.50 pm – 5.10 pm Developing skills through team games
• 5.10 pm – 5.30 pm Developing movement skills through gymnastics
• 5.30 pm – 5.50 pm Orientation and equipment
• 5.50 pm – 6.00 pm Evaluation and what next
