I will be more aware of the strategies that can be put in place to support pupils with CVI, and how these can also benefit pupils who don't have CVI.
I think raising awareness of environmental distractions. It’s not straightforward to change an existing model ... eg dinner hall but I think it’s a good place to start.
Read the recommended book
Continue to advise others of ideal classroom arrangements and reinforce the need to try and see things more from the pupils' needs.
I am keen to look at the charts for the framework in greater detail again.
yes, I will continue to remind myself to clear classroom clutter.
Continue to consider the various forms of complexity children are coping with in school and address these issues.
Yes. I'm looking back at the paperwork our service uses for environmental audit to see how we can improve it.
The webinar reminded me of just how much work goes into seeing. I will probably use some of the things Prof Dutton said about how the brain sees when discussing vision (not all but a few choice pieces).
I have passed on to the Educational Psychologists in my team.
Use the complexity framework in an adapted way to suit our situation.
Encourage my authority to take this framework on board for trial
Buy the book Cortical Visual Impairment Advanced Principles and use Framework
Try and declutter play room
Our service will be ordering the book which details the complexity framework and this could be a useful tool to judge a situation for a child with CVI.
Assess space and environment for children within our playroom.
Consider impact of CVI.
Being able to collaborate with people from all over the country, and to hear the points of view of others from far and wide first hand.
I liked the chat on YouTube before most.
The option to contribute via video or text. Speakers didn't all speak at once but were invited by Elizabeth one by one. Also interesting different perspectives on the topic.
Enthusiasm of both presenters and visual aids/photos etc to reinforce good practice.
I liked that I could watch the video in my own time first and had the chance to consider the content before the webinar. I enjoy listening to others with more experience in this field without the pressure of feeling I need to join in.
To hear people who all sing from the same hymn sheet.
The opportunity to hear how others responded to the ideas presented in the M Tietgen presentation. I was happy with the format.
Being able to discuss with such a wide range of colleagues.
It was relaxed and easy to follow.
Interesting to hear others viewpoints.
Being able to collaborate with colleagues across the country and discuss issues that affect us all. Working from home has allowed more collaboration and gives more time to discuss and develop practise.
Discussion and feedback from fellow VI teachers.
The collaboration and discussion.
Be able to other talk about this area after watching the video.
Making me aware of the complexity framework and watching the video.
To hear other peoples views and opinions and ideas.
Discussion.
The sound quality!
Could not hear gave up sorry
Could have been a day long webinar as so engaging and helpful. Thank you very much
Nothing ... watching videos beforehand is a good way forward.
Limiting the amount of responses per question - a lot of people were saying the same thing again and again.
For people to become more confident and raise their voice to express rather on the chat as this was making it difficult to listen and watch at the same time.

More on CVI
More of the same with sound.
More ideas for adapting the curriculum and maybe visuals/photos of what a child/person would see given certain VI conditions ... even in a generalised sense ...
Perhaps some UEB advanced maths help sessions
Braille Numeracy at Primary
Ongoing updates on the teaching of braille, new technology etc.
Mental Health
I am looking forward to this week's webinar about supporting 0-3s. Also, I am interested in developing how I can support independent living skills more.
Early years which is happening tomorrow.
How was your experience of accessing the course via Collaborate? 4/5
How would you rate the webinar technology? 3.9/5
It was difficult to hear at times
Hard to focus, the background noise made it tricky to listen to.
I could not hear anything and had to give up.
Very smooth!
It is certainly easier to hear the speaker if everyone else has their microphone on mute.
My technology not yours that let it down!
It just worked for me.
Quite difficult when people would not mute themselves so you could not hear the speaker.
It's good that people can raise their hands and everyone else can keep quiet - it means you don't get all of those awkward times when several people want to say something, especially with a group so large.
Possibly clearer directions for people turning off their cameras and speakers.
