Jenny Morrison, Specialist Teacher of Autism, SSC has invited Ian Bell, formerly Leader of the Visual Impairment and Autism Project to present this webinar. The project resulted in the production of guidance materials for Visual Impairment and Autism, which will be the focus of this webinar. Ian had an interesting and varied career, training as both a teacher and a speech and language therapist.

Ian has a wealth of knowledge to share from his experiences working with autistic young people with co-existing conditions.

In this webinar Ian will make reference to the guidance materials and highlight those of most importance to education practitioners. He looks forward to sharing his wisdom with our audience and questions will be welcomed.

Presenter

Ian Bell was initially a teacher of children with severe learning difficulties (SLD), specialising in communication. As a speech and language therapist he specialised in visual impairment, working in a school for children who had severe visual impairment and additional disabilities.
