Twilight & Networking: Support for Students with Sensory Impairment in College and University

This twilight session looked at how the needs of young people who are deaf and those with visual impairment can be met in further and higher education settings.

Stacey Brash, Policy Lead, Student Award Agency Scotland provided an overview of Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) and what it can be used for. There was discussion about what support is available for students attending college who do not have access to DSA funding.

A member of staff from the Educational Learning Support Team, New College Lanarkshire highlighted the support on offer to students with sensory impairment.

Following the presentations there was an opportunity for networking.
