Content

Deaf children and young people may face a range of challenges and risks that make them particularly vulnerable. Our one-day interactive workshop helped participants understand the issues and relevant legislation and offered the tools to improve support and practice. The day was a mix of group work, presentations and case studies, through which participants learned approaches that address the needs of deaf children and their families. There was opportunity to use the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS) assessment framework and find out how to ensure effective communication - helping to promote positive outcomes for the deaf children and young people.
